Big Changes, New Additions, and Summer Fun Ahead at Koocanusa Village

We’ve been busy behind the scenes—and we’re ready to share what’s new!
As the snow melted and the lake began to thaw, our team at Koocanusa Village rolled up our sleeves to get the community ready for another unforgettable season. We’ve tackled everything from infrastructure upgrades to event enhancements—all with you in mind.
Here’s what we’ve been working on over the down season:
Marina & Dock Upgrades to Keep Things Smooth on the Water
10 new, larger boat slips have been added to accommodate the growing number of surf boats and pontoons in our community. (Note: Updated rental pricing is now available on our website.)
New cedar log booms have been installed at the marina entrance, with the mid-boom relocated to help reduce future driftwood headaches.
The South dock ramps have a brand-new, flow-through slip-resistant surface for added safety and ease of use.
The North dock stairs have been repurposed for the fuel dock and South boat slips to lessen ramp steepness.
We’ve swapped out the lower stairs on the North slips for a new double-hinged gangway that automatically adjusts to fluctuating water levels.
Several dock floats were replaced or added to boost buoyancy and stability across the marina.
Major Upgrades for Comfort and Convenience
The old toilet block and sewage tank have been fully removed.
In their place? Four new individual toilets beside The Kove, all connected to a new force main system—meaning fewer issues and more reliability, especially during busy weekends and events.
Irrigation has gone high-tech! A central controller has been added to prevent accidental spraying during outdoor events.
We’ve also installed a dedicated power pedestal for safe, secure electrical hookups when events need it.
The Kove Returns – Opening June 20th!
The much-loved marina store, The Kove, reopens on Thursday, June 20th, fully stocked and ready for another great season. Whether you’re fueling up, grabbing a snack, or picking up lake essentials, The Kove is your one-stop shop for convenience with a view.
