What began as a few friendly games in neighbourhood driveways has become one of Koocanusa Village's favourite places to gather.
Our three pickleball courts are the result of an incredible community effort. Led by passionate residents, supported by generous volunteers and donors, and partially funded by the Koocanusa Village Association, the courts represent the spirit of collaboration that makes this community so special.
Today, they're filled with friendly competition, laughter, and players of every age and skill level.
Whether you're picking up a paddle for the first time or you're a seasoned player, you'll find a welcoming community ready to rally, encourage, and have fun.
More Than a Game
Pickleball has quickly become one of the fastest-growing sports in North America, and it's easy to see why. It's easy to learn, enjoyable for all ages, and a wonderful way to stay active while connecting with neighbours and friends.
At Koocanusa Village, you'll often find grandparents playing alongside grandkids, families enjoying an evening match, and new friendships forming between games.
And if you're new to the sport? Don't worry. Someone is always happy to explain the rules, help you learn the score, or introduce you to pickleball favourites like "the kitchen" and "dinking."
