KV Properties is improving Koocanusa Village’s livability, appearance and environmental stewardship by launching a tree planting program this spring.
“We are committed to making Koocanusa Village a world-class recreation community,” said Reto Barrington, President of KV Properties. “A key part of our strategy includes carefully planned landscaping improvements. This new program will see 500 trees planted for a more inviting entry experience.”
Starting in May, trees will be planted along the entry corridor between the cattle guard and the cul de sac on Marcer Road beside the lake. Tree size at the time of planting is expected to be between 8 to 10 feet in height. The varieties have been selected for their compatibility for the region’s climate and growing conditions. More information on the specific varieties will be announced soon.
“At the same time that we begin our planting, we will be offering to supply similar types of trees to lot owners at our cost of approximately $150 per tree delivered to their sites,” says Barrington. “We are also in the process of sourcing a water truck to allow us to ensure this new inventory of trees flourish.”
Planting and maintenance of any trees purchased by lot owners or strata corporations can be arranged for an additional cost.
